IntroductionThis web site features all the documentation needed for the Customs Authorities and , the Guarantee Chain and TIR Carnet Holders to interconnect with the eTIR international system. It is regularly updated to offer the latest versions of the documents. The Informal Ad hoc Expert Group on Conceptual and Technical Aspects of Computerization of the TIR Procedure (hereinafter referred to as "GE.1") is working on the latest versions of the eTIR specifications (v4.3a) and this web site will also be regularly updated with its latest decisions. PreambleThe eTIR international system relies on the TIR Convention, and as such the eTIR documentation relies on the TIR Convention texts, but also on various other key documents available online and listed below. Some of these documents must be read and well understood while others are reference documents to be consulted when necessary. This introduction will help you understand what they contain and in which order we recommend them to be read. The work of the GE.1The Informal Ad hoc Expert Group on Conceptual and Technical Aspects of Computerization of the TIR Procedure (GE.1) is a group of experts mandated by the Working Party on Customs Questions affecting Transport (WP.30) to design the eTIR specifications. Its latest session was held in Geneva on March 10-11 2020 and the relevant documentation is available on this page. GE.1 is now actively working on finalizing the version 4.3a of the eTIR specifications . In addition, several contracting parties to the TIR Convention have nominated eTIR focal point which list can be found on this page. T |
