the COVID-19 pandemic.
This document also provides an update on the impact of the explosion at the Port of Beirut, on customs and importation procedures,             on 4 August 2020.

• A nightly curfew is in place between 23:59 and 05.00.
• As of a government circular (No. 33/2) applying to Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport, passenger flights are now allowed at the airport.

On 15 March 2020 the Lebanese Cabinet announced Decision № 1 regarding the general
mobilization to confront the Corona virus. This plan included a set of measures and regulations
among which was the closure of the seaports, airports, and land border posts, with some
exceptions for the UNIFIL and diplomatic missions accredited in Lebanon, international
organizations, freight planes, etc.
The decision dealt as well with social distancing and quarantine measures, and the closure of
universities, schools, kindergartens, in addition to public and private sector entities or regulation
of their activities.
The port of Beirut and the international airport contain refrigerated areas designed for the
storage of several kinds of merchandise including medicines and medical equipment.

Updated information related to the reopening of Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport on 1 July 2020:

Circular 99 on 30 June 2020 of Minister of Health in Lebanon

Based on the reopening of the airport on 1 July 2020, and in order to organize the return, the following procedures should be observed:

1. Register on Ministry Of Public Health’s electronic platform COVID19 MOPH PASS on the following link:  https://arcg.is/0GaDnG , and make sure the information is correct before sending it
2. 2. Upon arrival in Lebanon, all passengers will undergo the PCR test at Rafic Hariri International Airport
3. In case of existence of PCR test from the incoming country, please ensure that the test result and date are loaded in the platform. In addition, they must abide by the home quarantine until the new test, (which was conducted at the airport) result comes out (for 24 to 48 hours)
4. As for Lebanese travelers who did not undergo the PCR test before coming to Lebanon, they must adhere to the home quarantine until the result of the first PCR examination is issued and three days later to conduct the second PCR examination.
5. Passengers will be notified via SMS the geographical location of the laboratories accredited by the Ministry of Public Health to take the second test
6. 6. Passengers will be notified via SMS of the PCR test result with an electronic copy of the result
7. 7. Upon notification of the result, coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health should be taken to transfer the infected person to the government hospital in his area of residence by calling the Corona Hotline at the Ministry of Public Health at: +9611594459

تحديث المعلومات المتعلقة بإعادة افتتاح مطار  رفيق الحريري الدولي في بيروت

التعميم رقم 99 تاريخ 30 حزيران/ يونيو 2020، الصادر عن معالي وزير الصحة العامة في لبنان

بناء على إعادة فتح المطار بتاريخ 1 تموز 2020 ومن أجل تنظيم العودة يجب التقيد بالإجراءات التالية

 التسجيل على المنصة الالكترونية الخاصة بوزارة الصحة العامة عبر  الرابط أدناه والتأكد من صحة المعلومات قبل إرسالها

عند الوصول إلى لبنان سوف يخضع جميع المسافرين إلى اختبار  بي سي آر في مطار رفيق الحريري الدولي

في حال وجود اختبار  بي سي أر من بلد المصدر يرجى التأكد من تحميل نتيجة الفحص وتاريخه على المنصة. وعليهم الالتزام بالحجر المنزلي لحين ظهور نتيجة الاختبار الجديد الذي أجرى على المطار لمدة 24 إلى 48 ساعة

أما المسافرين اللبنانيين الذين لم يخضعوا لاختبار  بي سي آر قبل قدومهم إلى لبنان فعليهم أن يلتزموا بالحجر المنزلي لحين صدور نتيجة فحص اختبار بي سي آر الأول وبعدها ثلاثة أيام لإجراء فحص بي سي آر الثاني

يتم إعلام المسافرين عبر رسالة  هاتفية بالموقع الجغرافي للمختبرات المعتمدة من قبل وزارة الصحة العامة لإجراء الاختبار  بي سي آر الثاني

يتم إعلام المسافرين عبر رسالة هاتفية بنتيجة اختبار  بي سي آر مع نسخة الكترونية بالنتيجة

عند التبلغ بالنتيجة يجب التنسيق والتعاون مع وزارة الصحة العامة لنقل المصاب إلى المستشفى الحكومي في منطقة إقامته عبر الاتصال بالخط الساخن للكورونا في

• Closure of Beirut International Airport as well as all air, maritime and road border crossings (concerning only the arrivals for the land and maritime crossings) effective as of Wednesday 18 March 2020 until 12:00 am on Sunday 29 March 2020.
• The closure has been extended until 12 April 2020. This decision excludes Military, Air Ambulance, Cargo, over flying Aircraft and Aircraft transporting diplomatic delegations working in Lebanon, International Organizations personnel, UNIFIL forces, as well as personnel working for oil companies drilling block number 4.

اقفال مطار رفيق حريري الدولي وجميع المرافئ الجوية والبحرية والبرية (فقط أمام الوافدين بالنسبة للمرافئ البرية والبحرية) اعتباراً من يوم الأربعاء الواقع فيه 18 آذار 2020 حتى الساعة الرابعة والعشرين من يوم الأحد في 29 آذار 2020.

تم تمديد الاقفال حتى يوم الأحد 12 نيسان 2020. ويستثنى من الإقفال قوات اليونيفيل والبعثات الدبلوماسية المعتمدة في لبنان والمنظمات الدولية والطائرات المخصصة للشحن والأشخاص العاملون لدى الشركات لمرتبطة بعمليات الحفر في البلوك رقم 4.

As from 7 July, Lebanese citizens living in or visiting Syria will be allowed back into the country by road. The border will be open from 09:00 to 16:00, allowing them to enter Lebanese territory.

As of 1 July, borders with Syria are completely closed for passenger transport operations, while goods vehicles are allowed to cross the border in both directions. Beirut Port remains operational.
