Resolution No. MTOP-DVGT-2020-0001-R, 15 March 2020: In order to maintain Ecuador's commercial relations with Colombia and Peru, the transport of international cargo may cross the border as long as it complies with the enabling documents (determined in the legal regulations in force and international instruments).
For light and heavy cargo vehicles, such as tank trucks, tankers and the like that circulate between borders, they must carry the corresponding authorizations established by Ecuadorian regulations, especially the reference guide where the country of origin and destination is indicated, which will constitute safe-conduct enough for its circulation within the country. This condition is subject to the resolutions of the COE.

Resolución Nro. MTOP-DVGT-2020-0001-R, de 15 de marzo de 2020: Para mantener las relaciones comerciales de Ecuador con Colombia y Perú, el transporte de carga internacional podrá cruzar la frontera siempre y cuando cumpla los documentos habilitantes (determinados en la normativa legal vigente e instrumentos internacionales)
Para los vehiculos de carga liviana y pesada, como autotanques, tanqueros y similares que circulen entre fronteras, deberán portar las autorizaciones correspondientes que establezca la normativa ecuatoriana, especialmente la guía de remisión donde se indique el país de origen y destino, el cual constituirá salvoconducto suficiente para su circulación dentro del país. Esta condición está sujeta a las resoluciones del COE.
