Note by the secretariat:

In accordance with article 9.04, paragraph 5, the following administrations consider a side-by-side formation whose greatest dimensions do not exceed 110 m in length and 23 m in width as single motorized vessels:

1. Austria: Same regulation as in DFND: side-by-side formations whose greatest dimensions do not exceed 110 m in length and 12 m in width are considered as single motorized vessels;
2. Bulgaria;
3. Germany: pushed convoy with the length not exceeding 110 m and the width not exceeding 12 are considered as a single motorized vessel of the same length and width. A side-by-side formation whose length exceeds 140 m is considered as a pushed convoy of the same length;
4. Hungary: the Hungarian Shipping Regulation considers a side-by-side formation whose greatest dimensions do not exceed 110 m in length and 12 m in width as single motorized vessels;
5. Turkey.
