March 31, 2020 The Georgetown Flight Information Region (FIR) will remain closed to all international passenger flights until May 1, 2020. As a consequence, the Cheddi Jagan International and the Eugene F. Correia International Airports will remain closed to all international flights with the exception of the cargo flights, medivac flights, technical stops for fuel only and special authorized flights.

The closure of the airspace will not affect domestic flights and international overflights. The Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) will continue to work with all stakeholders to ensure that the safety and security of the travelling public can be assured

March 25, 2020: Guyana ports are closed to all vessels except international merchant ships. For ships calling at Guyana’s ports, all documents must be submitted electronically. No shore leave or crew changes may be carried out.All crew onboard must complete individual health declarations to be submitted to the Port Health Officer, along with the Master’s Maritime Declaration of Health, for review and approval before the authorities can board.

Directive No: GCAA/DGCA/2020-03;  From midnight on the 18th March 2020 for a period of fourteen (14) days, the Cheddi Jagan International and Eugene F. Correia International Airport shall remain closed to all international flights except for outgoing flights, cargo flights, medivac flights, technical stops for fuel only and special authorized flights.
