A single motorized vessel may in addition more than 110 m long shall be required to carry by night at the stern a second masthead light placed in the axis of the vessel and at least 3 m 3 m higher than the forward light, in such a way that the horizontal distance between these lights is at least three times the vertical distance. 3. A single motorized vessel temporarily preceded by night by an auxiliary motorized vessel shall continue to show the lights referred to in paragraphs 1 and 2 above.
