Minister of Law and Human Rights has issued Temporary Prohibitions of Entry (Travel Ban) into Indonesia for Foreigners in response to Covid-19’s Outbreak. Exceptions are granted to crew members of air, sea or land transport as well as medical aid and other humanitarian workers. The aforementioned foreigners excluded from the new policy must possess a valid health certificate (in English language) issued by Health Authority of respective country; reside for at least 14 (fourteen) days in a country/territory with no eminent case of Covid-19; and comply to be Quarantined for 14 (fourteen) days facilitated by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. Most ports in Indonesia are in operations recognizing the importance of sea transports in transport and logistics connectivity. Local authorities that want to close down their local ports must obtain advance approval from the Ministry of Transport Directorate General of Maritime Affairs. Some measures to prevent COVID19 are imposed, such as sterilization or separation of equipment that has been used by people suspected of being infected with Covid-19 and other quarantine measures in accordance with the Health Handling Protocol Covid-19 issued by the Ministry of Health. Foreign crew are requested not to come on land while docking while Indonesian crew should be quarantined for 14 days.
